Five towers of residences, offices and a luxury hotel on the Abu Dhabi Corniche, with one expectation shared by every resident, tenant and guest: doors that simply recognise the people who belong there.

A mixed-use landmark runs several very different security regimes at once — hotel guests, apartment residents, office tenants, contractors and back-of-house teams — all moving through shared lobbies, lifts and car parks. Every door has to report reliably to the security platform, and every controller has to be terminated, labelled and documented so the operator can maintain it for years.
As the specialist termination partner to the lead ELV contractor, NICE Venture terminated the field devices for around 400 doors — card readers, door contacts, electric locks and request-to-exit devices — and the Gallagher access-control panels housed in the intermediate distribution frames (IDFs) across the five towers.
Door schedules and IDF layouts reviewed tower by tower to sequence work around live construction.
Field devices and controller panels terminated to the manufacturer's wiring standards, with consistent labelling.
Every door point checked from reader to panel before handover to the commissioning team.
Termination records and labelling schedules handed over to support commissioning and long-term maintenance.
Why it mattersAccess control is the first thing a visitor physically touches in a building. When it is installed and documented properly, security teams can manage many user groups in one place — and residents and guests never think about it.
